With the release of "Lifeline" Nimic Revenue is ready to take over.

The future of Minnesota rap is looking brighter and brighter by the day with the recent Def Jam signed artist Nimic Revenue releasing her EP “Lifeline” in late June. Standing at 6 songs and 17 minutes, “Lifeline” is a concise whirlwind of crystallized vocals gliding over hard-hitting beats. By rapping over simple but full sounding beats, Nimic allows her witty and boastful lyrics, as well as her undeniable melodies, consume the listener. Although a short project Nimic takes her time introducing us to her world where a “room full of strippers” is her happy place. And even though she’s dealt with a lot, she’s ready to take on the world, shining on her haters while she does it.

Some of the standout tracks on “Lifeline” are “Tattoo,” “Kim K” and “Paramount”

“Tattoo” an intro track to her EP for anyone who’s had to get it out the mud, proving their haters wrong the whole time. Although her cadence and voice may sound like a particular wave of “baby voice” over trap beats, Nimic adds intensity and playfulness, switching her flows and volume to keep her approach fresh.

Serving as track two, “Kim K” a buoyant track with a great hook over a slow bass and seldom high hat comprised beat where Nimic details that her girl looks like the famous Kardashian and drives her crazy like the famous model’s superstar husband Kanye West. Similar in energy and cadence to Chicago artist Valee, Nimic uses her raspy voice and braggadocious attitude to dominate this track.

The biggest standout track is the third track, “Paramount” which Nimic also released a video for where one night she crashes her car and finds herself seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The song consists of an undeniably catchy hook and synthesized melody that could get stuck in your head for weeks. Nimic shows her ability to vocalize as well as switch from that vocalization to spitting all within the same flow.

One thing is for sure, Revenue Season is here and Nimic will look to continue her strong year all 2019 supporting her new project. The Minnesota artist, who was recently signed t has already been the face of Tidal’s Rising Hip Hop playlist. It’s clear Nimic Revenue is ready to take over.

Go out and listen to Nimic Revenue’s “Lifeline” with the smash single “Paramount” wherever you listen to your music.
